Local environmental groups are calling on all government ministers to put aside party politics and join in with those who are trying to come up with a workable plan to save the natural environment & solve the climate issues before it reaches runaway proportions and ends up too late to fix.

Common sense says the time for ignoring this problem has passed and it's time to face up to the challenges that lay ahead. We have a moral duty to our children to ensure that they and their offspring are able to enjoy living on this planet the same way we did when we were growing up.

The government will not be motivated by environmental groups alone, it is time for the rest of society to stand up and give the government a mandate to implement the measures that are needed to get our environment back on the right track.

By the environment I mean everything that is interrelated and DEPENDENT on each other for  survival (this includes all of us humans as well). The earth and its inhabitants are designed on a symbiotic basis which means according to TheFreeDictionary on the web 1. A relationship of mutual benefit or dependence.

Let us not be like ostriches burying our heads in the sand we can all do our bit and apart from living sustainably at home or where-ever we are, we can make a phone call, email or write to our local member of parliament and tell them enough is enough we want action and we want it NOW.

One more thing, take the time to educate yourself on sustainability and the issues we are facing in our time, we can make a difference, as I am sure none of us want to have descendants who look back and say about our generation "they just didn't care".
